Installation of thermoregulator.

Any kind of a box with the dimensions of approximately 140*100*70 mm will suit to be a housing for the thermoregulator. The assembled printed-circuit board is fixed on the basis.

Fix the variable resistance – the temperature regulator – on the front panel. Fix the transformer, solder the diode bridge and the condenser right to it according to the scheme. Especially important is the fixation of the thyristor. Firstly, it is necessary to have a radiator with the minimum size of 30*20*20 mm.

Though the current that goes through the thyristor is less than 2À and, according to its technical characteristics, the thyristor can stand it without the radiator, in a couple of weeks of its operation it will bend and your incubator can even melt.

Secondly, the thyristor is under high tension, and it must be fixed without the contact with the housing.

I do it this way: I fix a small metal angle bar to the housing on one side, on the other side I fasten a glass-cloth laminate non-foil-clad 40*30 mm plate in which a 8 mm opening is drilled. On this plate I fix the thyristor with the radiator. After this you can go on to test the thermoregulator.
